This light on the side of your Generac generator is considered a “non-critical alert”. It is a maintenance reminder light that often appears a year after your last service. Nothing to worry about! Your generator will still run as it should in the event of an outage.

While we understand that you cannot keep snow away from the generator at all times, it is important to keep a 2-3 ft clearing of snow away from your generator. Snow can cause airflow restrictions to the exhaust system, preventing the engine from operating properly. Enclosures are NOT recommended as they can cause overheating around the generator.

Generac generators now come with Mobile Link! This free mobile app allows you to monitor the status of your generator. It connects to your home’s Wi-Fi router allowing you access to your generator from anywhere! This product is also available for select older models that did not previously have it built in.

Yes! This is important to keep the engine lubricated, batteries charged & alert you for any possible issues. The exercise schedule & run time vary by brand but usually tests automatically on a weekly basis.
